A land of woods, pastures and silence<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAutosufficienza Farm encompasses 68 hectares of varied and generous nature:<\/strong>
woods of oaks, hop-hornbeams and beeches that hold half the surface, meadows and pastures that follow the rhythm of the seasons, and arable land that tells the agricultural history of the place.

The two large portions of land dialogue with each other like the slopes of a single promontory:
one extends between 1,050 and 860 metres<\/strong>, wilder and more secluded; the other, larger and inhabited, hosts the buildings between 820 and 550 metres.<\/strong>
A small road that changes from municipal to local connects them like a discreet thread.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

From livestock land to space of rebirth<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

When Macrolibrarsi began taking care of this land in 2009, the hill still spoke the language of livestock farming: polyphytic meadows intended for fodder, pastures for beef cattle, a simple economy that had left visible marks on the landscape.<\/p>\n

The prevailing south-easterly<\/strong> exposure provides gentle light and temperate seasons. The dominant wind arrives from the south and is known simply as “il vento”, a constant presence that dries the air and moves the tree canopies.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

An ancient land, different with every step<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The soil here is never the same: it changes face, colour and consistency.
It is a medium-textured soil tending towards silt, rich in stones and with a slightly alkaline pH.<\/p>\n

In the land surrounding the farm centre, the young soil derives from an ancient landslide that mixed the layers down to the deep rock.
Higher up, however, the rock emerges almost immediately, shaping a more essential landscape, where the mountain reveals itself without veils.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Precipitation brings between 1,000 and 1,300 mm of water<\/strong> each year, mainly in autumn, winter and spring.
Summers are often dry and teach the art of essential care.<\/p>\n

Snow, once more generous, now arrives more rarely and remains only briefly on the sun-facing slopes.<\/p>\n

Water, however, is not lacking: this is a land crossed by natural springs<\/strong>, small subterranean gifts that nourish the life of the hill.
Only in the most severe summers do the streams thin out until they almost disappear, reminding us of the importance of careful and respectful management of every drop.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
