Sustainability, for us, means learning to live in balance.

The first dialogue is with the life that surrounds us.
We defend biodiversity because it is the beating heart of every ecosystem: hedgerows rich with insects, wild flowers, ancient varieties, small presences that inhabit the landscapes.

In this interweaving of presences the fertility of the Fattoria is born, a balance that we safeguard with care and humility.

A LAND THAT REGENERATES

Growing is not just about producing: it’s about caring.
In the fields we follow slow rhythms, techniques that regenerate the soil, practices inspired by permaculture and the bio-intensive method.

The soil remains covered, nourished, protected.
Each harvest tells a story of exchange: the earth offers life, and we offer respect.

WATER AS A TEACHER

Water teaches us measure.
We gather it from the rains, we preserve it in basins and cisterns, we let it flow along swales and channels that distribute it gently.

We respect it as a precious asset, because without water there is no seed, no fruit, no path.

THE LIGHT OF THE SUN

To light our spaces and power our daily life, we choose the light of the sun.
Photovoltaic panels and storage systems bring us closer to an increasingly tangible autonomy.

We do not seek absolute self-sufficiency: we are guided by harmony, coherence, gratitude for what nature allows us to do.

Warming up following natural cycles

During winter, fire returns as an ally.
The heating of spaces occurs primarily through wood-burning stoves, fuelled by wood from our forests, managed with care and responsibility.

A living warmth that invites presence and contemplation, in harmony with the rhythm of the cold seasons.

THE VALUE OF THE THINGS THAT LAST

Sustainability is also about sobriety: reducing, reusing, repairing.
We compost waste, recover building materials, reduce single-use plastic, and favour that which can be reborn.

We believe in the value of objects that have a history, and of those that, once used up, return to the earth without harming it.

Building in harmony with the place

The spaces at the Farm emerge from an ongoing dialogue with the land.
We use natural materials such as wood, earth, lime and straw, chosen to blend into the landscape and create environments that breathe alongside those who inhabit them.

The architecture doesn’t seek to impose itself, but to accompany: each building is a balance between functionality, beauty and respect for the place that welcomes it.

CONNECTIONS THAT GENERATE FUTURE

Sustainability is also about relationships.
We collaborate with virtuous local organisations, support cultural and environmental initiatives, and share knowledge and practices that help the community to grow in a more conscious way.

We believe that the common good is a collective act.

ANIMALS AS ECOSYSTEM COMPANIONS

The animals on the farm are not tools, but presences with whom we coexist.
They contribute to soil fertility, maintain natural balances alive, and teach the value of rhythm and attention.

We care for them with respect, without forcing their times and spaces.

HOUSEHOLD AND PERSONAL CARE

Usiamo detergenti biodegradabili, saponi naturali, cosmetici a base di piante e oli essenziali.
Riduciamo l’uso di plastica e scegliamo prodotti che rispettano il corpo e l’ambiente.

Anche i gesti più piccoli diventano un modo per vivere con gentilezza.

FOOD THAT NOURISHES, NOT ONLY THE BODY

In our kitchen we choose organic, local or farm-grown ingredients: herbs, vegetables, ancient grains, seasonal fruits.
Bread, preserves, herbal teas and essential oils are born from attentive hands and from a supply chain that honours the earth.

Food becomes a simple language for meeting, sharing stories, and caring for one another.

A sustainability that involves the people

Sustainability also concerns the way we work, collaborate and build relationships.
We seek a balance between doing and resting, between producing and caring, placing people’s wellbeing at the centre.

Autosufficienza is shaped by temporary communities, encounters and shared journeys: a human ecosystem that grows alongside the natural one.

A FAMILY THAT LOOKS AFTER THE PLACE

Autosufficienza was born from the dream and commitment of Francesco and his family, who for years have accompanied this place in its evolution.
Not as a possession, but as a responsibility: an alliance with the land and with those who will inhabit it after us.

Their silent presence is part of the landscape, like the trees and paths that change with the seasons.

Sustainability is not a result to be achieved, but a journey that continues.
